Done. It correctly showed the representitive and the senators. But I am not sure it went. Particularly the screen of advacacy to send mail to 6 frineds kept on coming up. If I don't receive confirmations to my account, I will send once again. Or I will call them also.

Don't know. But researching on this aspect could be an eye opener to LOT of people who applied for I-485 during July 2nd and also have applied for Canada gc in the past.

Holy cow... I cannot believe, I got my green card today...
My online case status changed to card production ordered today (1 hour ago).
I had filed during july fiasco and was not abel to send my medical tests , so had got RFE.
Then i took the medicals and sent the response in july 2009, and the status remained RFE response received for a long time.
I called NSC and opened a service request on Aug 18.
Guys believe me Service Request does miracles, they just approved it now.
So my journey came to an end after 7 years.
If I got green card, the whole credit goes to IV. You guys are really great, learnt a lot from this forum. Kudos to you all...
I will continue to visit these forums and help as much as I can.

Sent I-140 and I-485 applications on July 12 and received on July 13.
Received receipt notices on Aug 31 from NSC for my I-485, EAD and AP
For spouse- I-485 and AP.

Thanks for the excellent suggestion. Do you know Dr. Woo or do you know someone who would know Dr. Woo? That would help a lot. Will initiate the contact with 80-20 initiative right away.

The applications recrived at TEXAS on 1st JUN started receiving recepit notices. One of my friends checks got cleared today. :confused: As per my analysys nebraska had a 6 day lag till Jan 1st. Lets see.

Yup, kshitijnt you are right on target, we need to do some thing constructive and let our voices heard.
BECSufferer made it right heading...channel your anger.
My intention was more to think in right way and discourage potential -ve result bound strategies.
During presidential campaign there were all over promises on clearing backlogs, we can go on that basis and make a point of that.
One thing is clear if they like to stop outsourcing sure they have to encourage and stream line legal immigration they cannot stop or survive but cutting outsourcing as well leaving this legal immigration in limbo.
Besides what we can do at this juncture, keep our voices heard by contacting, writing letters.

Folks,
I got card production email on 19th night (20th) August... got approval email on 22nd . Received welcome notice physical mail on 25th August-- So far not received Green cards nor Approval notice. As per email received it says -- Approval was mailed on 22nd AUgust. Anybody in same boat ??

They almost always take some kind of FPs. What I mean is that there are 3 biometrics codes. Code 3 is the most comprehensive, where they take your photo, signature and all ten fingers FP. Check your notice in the upper right corner, there should be a box that says "Code".

Also I am sending the following documents.
1) copy I-485 receipt notice
2) copy of EAD (front and back)
3) two color photos
4) Filing fee check $340
5) Mailer stub received from previous EAD.
Am I missing anything else?

Question to IV core...
After receiving the standard email respose from the congressman/senator...I am wondering are they even aware about the legal immigrants. All we are getting the standard template which is talking about only illegals and DREAM.

Yes generally these replies come in from one of their workers, maybe even a trainee.
Thats why IV wants everyone to call back the Senator/US Reps office mentioning the email response, and ask why our problems were not addressed (legal immigrants) and that you need more clarifications. Typically they have a person handling immigration issues.
mentioning only the two we are campaigning for right now:
1. Employment based Visa recapture
2. Protecting children of legal immigrants from aging out regime
this is even more important than just sending an email
Better yet if you can meet if not call in the next 7-10 days.

i do not understand the fuss about it. why do we over react to it. Big law firms like FDBL ( fragmon) all said the lawsuit is not winnable no chance , DOS can change VB any time as per federal law. whats the use of all this??

Fragomen just likes to sit on it's a#*^ and get money from their corporate accounts. The corporations do not particularly have any motivation to act either ways. The only law firms likely to act on this will be the ones who get paid directly by the likes of us. I have experienced four different firms (including Fragomen) in last 7 years.
