Hey.
Im new to photography and am looking into photography for local music venues.
I have a D40 with its standard 18-55mm lens but I'm looking for a lens with a better aperture.
I am looking to get the Nikon 55mm f1.8 which is around �80.
As this is not an AF-S lens and can not focus automatically, will it sitll work with the D40 if I use manual focus?

I am currently working for my employer on EAD. Can I work for another company and at the same time keep my current job on EAD?

Folks,
We received letter from USCIS NSC saying that our AP (incl. my spouse) were approved on 10/15/08. On 11/17/08 we received RFE on my spouse AP application for photos. My wife had already left for India (11/15/08) assuming that our AP was approved. Anyways.
My question - If NSC approves her AP application (again), which date will she have on her approved AP application (i.e will the date be still 10/15/08 OR after the RFE response for photos). Photos were received at the NSC on 11/26/08.
Is anyone in the same situation. Your input is much appreciated.

My I 140 approved under Eb3 if i want to change my job and my employer is willing to do in EB2 can I use my old PD from I140 EB3 ?

I am currently attending a college here in China. However, I have been offered some interesting jobs . These jobs require that I have a resident visa. I have been told that I can't change from a student visa to a resident visa, while in mainland China. Is this accurate? If so, is Hong Kong an option for me?

Hellow,
I have a quick question. My I140 got approved in sep'08. Should I have to wait till PD gets current or I can file for I485 and USCIS will process my application according to my PD?
Any responce will be highly appreciated.

The time spent in H4 does NOT count towards the 6 year H1 time. So in your case the H1 clock starts from Sep 2004.

I too got the lud for the same date as yours. From the earlier posting, I read that it could be a batch process, which might gave updated the record.

There is no issue what-so-ever using AP to enter US. I don't know why you are mixing H1 with AP. Both are different. AP is just a travel Document that can be used to travel abroad and return to US. Does not matter if you have a H1 or not.

I just spoke with Xiyun Yang from Washington Post and conveyed thanks for covering a detailed article. She expressed that there is attention being drawn by many quarters including political for "Skilled LEGAL Immigrants".
Also we need to emphasize & communicate is the "increased fees" (almost doubled in many cases) for all USCIS services effective end of this month (July 30). Is this the penalty to be legal ?
The rallys and campaigns should emphasize this important detail too. This is huge money and not fair to the amount of service that is being currently provided.

We have filed an I-130 for our dependant child of my husband who is currently an alien resident. We are trying to figure out how to get a work authorization form started for our son as well as he is old enough to work. We can not figure out how to answer his eligibility catagory. Can anyone assist us??
