I can't see any good reason why they would do that unless they have a system to allocate the applications to adjudicating staff by State or by Region. Do the Chinese cite any reasons why they feel that way?

Hi

I am currently working on H1B visa. I also had an EAD which expired 2 months back & I applied for renewal of the EAD last month. I am at the risk of being laid off by my current employer & they will withdraw my H1B if that happens. Here are my queries-

(1) If I lose my H1 status & my EAD approval is still pending, what do I need to do? If I am unable to find a new H1B sponsor, will I have to leave US immediately?

(2) Will my H1 cancellation have any effect on my EAD & AP renewal petition?

(3) Can I return to US & work after my AP & EAD are approved?

(4) If my EAD approval happens before my H1B visa is revoked, can I legally stay & work in US on the basis of ONLY the EAD?

Hello everyone,

I have been following this forum for quite sometime now. I have an issue and need some advice on that. My husband is on EAD and i am H1. I was with company A for a almost 2 yrs and then I joined company B for a project. They applied for my h1 that came through pretty fast through premium process. the project that I was supposed to start on kind of got scrapped and no dates yet known when that would happen. Now my question is that can i go back to company A as they have a project for me and want me to join them again, if i do that compant B will cancel my H1.Please advice if there are any legal issues that might pertain on this kind of case.

I got Duplicate I485, I765, I131 receipts. All the receipts has same A#. One set of I765 & I131 approved. For the second set , they send REF about Photos as I have not submitted any supporting documents ( Photos, I94 etc) for second set. I have submitted the second set as follow up since I didnt get receipts for the first set within 5 months.

Now I want to withdraw duplicate I485 set. Any problems ?

This is a massive drop. May piss a few "Recent" buyers off but it will sure make any new ones happy. If you're on a Nikon set of gear you're going to be getting excellent new ones for the same price (almost) as a 20D... Amazing.

Now that all are current, and we know the many benefits of an EAD ( primary being spousal employment) what exactly are the no-nos to apply for 485?

1. Even if you want to change jobs after 6 months, you gotta stick to the same position in the new company?
2. Any restrictions on travel?
3. Yearly EAD renewal can be a headache?

Any more?

P.S: Guys, I am as elated as any of you but just wanted some perspective before pushing my employer.

Hi Guys,
My I-140 was processed at the Nebraska center, but my attorney sent the I-485 case to Texas Service center. Since my I-140 was filed at Nebraska, I was expecting my I-485 would be sent Nebraska also.

Should it be sent to Texas center or Nebraska?

Hi!

I need to know when can I fly back to US on my H4 visa(valid till 2011 ).
My husband has joined a new job and his H1 B transfer has been filed .
Do I have to wait for new I 797 or Can I just travel on my old H4 visa and
visa transfer receipt notice .( he is filing the H1 transfer by premium processing ) .
His new employer is suggesting me to reenter on old h4 and before my husband
joins their company .
But for me that will be very soon ( not fulfilling the purpose of my visit ).
Any help is much appreciated.:confused:
