My area senator is Mr. Sessions :eek:. What do you guys think, should I email him or not? I am sure that I am not going to get a courteous reply or as a fact of matter a reply at all.

From July onwards since there will be no EB3 visas to give, will those IOs previously assigned to EB3 cases be freed up, or will they continue working on EB3 cases (stopping just short of approving them)? What happens to RD who are in July, will their cases continue to process or no will look at them

These people were not eligible for EB2 when they filed their own labor.. so they should NOT BE ALLOWED TO PORT THEIR OLD PDs.

I had a Masters at the time EB3 was filed in 2002....from a top US school. The employer was okay with any category. The lawyer messed up...said that all categories were current and he knows best.

Assuming the possibility that PD will be "unavailable" for the next few months at least, then on what basis do they allot visa numbers . PD or 485 receipt date
I believe Visa number is allocated only at time of Adjudicating i.e once everything is clear. At the time of adjudicating your PD should be current & you should be ahead of others per RD.

Worrying not gona give us anything. Were u worried 3 months back when the PD was 2003 something ... if we are lucky we will get it this time if not we will get the PD next time. Have faith and don’t loose ur sleep over it.

PS: not trying to offend you in any way. I am in same boat as u are my labor was filed on 23rd ... one month after a friend who filed in jan and already has his labor and I140 approved...

Volunteer is a person who takes responsibility and does a single task. Here the question was raised to have new leaders who can take a flight to Washington DC on Monday morning, change the law by noon to issue GC to every EB category, have a lunch at Olive Garden, come back monday evening.

I am glad to see sked A here. I have been following this forum for a long time now and there is nothing for healthcare prof though the discussions were very helpful. As I can see it, the july VB put benefits on those going through AOS but as a result those whom I know who are scheduled for interview in their home countries in AUg. was cancelled.

I was going thru your question, I am kind of in the same boat. My PD is Jan'04 in EB3. Filed 485 for self and wife in Jul'07.

Common people. We desperately need atleast THIS campaign to be a success. I mean as a team the IV core CANNOT ask for an amount lesser than $5.00.
We are a member base of 30,000 members, cant we all contribute this once? It is exactly FIVE dollars that we ask of ALL members.
If we cannot get every single silent/dormant member to contribute atleast this once, then maybe we should just pack up our bags and fold, coz if we cant even contribute FIVE DOLLARS for our own betterment, we are in a very sorry state.

Sorry for being ignorant. How can we determine LUD (last update date) and what is meant my soft LUD ?
You can check status of your case on line:
https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/index.jsp
It will show you "Last Updated Date". Soft LUD means status of case is not changed but they updated LUD, virtually means they touched your file.

Desi we definitely need to get clarification on this. Can you post a message with interpretations from differnet lawyers? Maybe we can get more people to ask their lawyers like Fragomen, Shusterman, Siskind ..... we will then match.

I don't know if anyone of you has ever gotten on a rush hour train in mumbai. I hired a CPA to register a LLC, but he insisted to open S-Corp. I was not confident so I told him to holdoff. Opening S-Copr doesn't seem to be right on EAD, however, I am still going thru posts tof igure right answer.
Has anyone taken any lawyer opinion on this?
