Took TST last week, positive (16mm), X-ray negative, civil surgeon marked "Class B, Latent TB Infection" on I-693, and gave me a notes saying that since May 2008, TST>10 will be marked with LTBI, and advised me to go to Health Department.
Same as many of you guys, had taken vaccines when young. Have been in US for 11 years. Pretty sure I don't have TB. What should I do? Does LTBI affect 485 approval? How about AP/EAD? Will USCIS ask for evidence of TB treatment?

We just got our medical envelope for me and my wife from the doctor, we both had TST reaction of 10mm and 18mm, chest x-ray came out normal...doctor marked both of us Latent Class TB(LTB1)...i would not worry about this, Latent TB is not infectous and recommended(not required) to undergo treatment. I am going to sit tight, not taking any medication as i heard the medication is a strong antibiotic which has more side effects(esp in women) and does more damage(to liver) than cure. If on medication, you are also required to take a test every 2 months to check if your liver can take medications for following months. Ofcourse, even after taking medication for 9 months, you cannot guarantee future TST test will result -ve due to BCG vaccine history.
If i get an RFE at a later time, i will goto my PCP, start medication(which i will discard) and get a letter saying in am on medication just for paper work sake, i refuse to take the medicine when x-ray is clear.

We should note that this bill was introduced in mid march and we didn't have any clue (including IV) sometimes chances of such bills may be easier to pass if the bill author chooses to include the provisions into another bill. Sometimes it better to stay low and get the provisions passed..;) ..... Overall i feel the provisions of this bill may get included into another one like 6039 or so

This is yet another inefficiency on their part. When it comes to AC21 your file does not even get updated even though you may have attached I-485 receipt along with AC21 filing. But when the employer revokes I-140 they don't forget to send you NOID or even I-485 denial.

However there is a silver lining:
You should thank IV members whose hard work enabled the I485 filing for everyone. Even people with PD of 2007, could file their AOS. You can enjoy your EAD and its benefits.

In India 3 year grad are arts, humanities, science, management and accounting.
while 4+ year degrees are for technology, engineering, agriculture, medicine.
UK (some parts of europe as well) and Australia seems to have similar system in some of its university.
even some US universities have rightly adopted the same

Chandu just mentioned that some means of contacting him is made. But he is very pivotal for this . As hez Obama campaign chairman , Senate No. 2 Ranking Democrat. His support or non-support is very crucial to support or not supporting any legislation now and if Obama comes in to picture obviously he will have better hold. I understand if someone was stuck in BEC, we all got s****ed with that.
But why given that the H1B is only intended to be for a maximum of 6 years would anyone leave it until the last year to apply.
PERM has been around for a while now, and anyone approaching 6 years should have already filed PERM or be ready to leave after year 6.
I am not talking about applying when one reaches the 5th year. What I am saying is that a person starts applying from the first year itself (under the new merit system) but does not get a number because the quota is oversubscribed. Believe me or not this may happen to an economics or business professor with a Ph.D. from India or China. This person will have to apply every year under the proposed merit system. If this person does not get a number by the 6th year she/he has to leave. So a professor may get tenure but not an extension on H1-B because she/he did not ever get an opportunity to file a I-140.

Folks, We need participation for our So.Cal event this sunday. We targeted sending a 1000 letters from our group. However we only sent 21 letters so far and we have long ways to go to reach our goal. I strongly beleive we can achieve our target if every member of our group comes forward and paticipates in this Action Item. As far as my understanding goes, EB1/2/3 is fairly recent, 15-20 year pehnomemon. As such getting examples of people who have been extremely successful post getting the visa is going to be difficult. Even for Harvard reunions, usually it is only at the 25th reunion (among a few thousand people) that you have some very successful people, in a 10-15 year span, getting extremely successful(to have your name in newspapers every other day) is like a 1 in 100,000 chance. Even with EB1s.

I am assuming your lawyer meant that the H4 status could be reclaimed if necessary. As soon as one uses EAD the non-immigrant status gets lost.
Ok! God help me here.... My lawyer responded this morning that h4 is valid even after using EAD. EAD is only a benefit.

PD is checked both at the time of filing and approval of 485. Once filed, the 485s are processed based on RD. If at the time of adjudication the PD is not current, the file is kept in the "pre-adjudicated" pile until the PD becomes current again for that particular application.

I have copies of all my I-20's and H1B's with me but I never kept copies of I 94 cards. Now if they start asking for all such documents its going to be very difficult. What happens if you are missing an old I20 can you ask school to go thro their records and issue a duplicate. To be honest from 2003 onwards everything is online via SEVIS so they should not even ask us for paper documents. Same with H1 with this new system they have started from this year.
I'm guessing they would need only the latest I-94 copy since we turn in every I-94 at the time of departure from the country. I could be wrong, someone can comment. I have never kept all the I-94's, hope it is not needed.
